Happy Friday!! I seem to only be making where to eat posts on this blog now… bear with me… other’s will come soon though most of my style posts i just leave on Instagram (here) or on YouTube (here) and my inspirational and travel posts are also on youtube, so subscribe there and follow me on ig to keep up ok?
Today I am taking you to Coco Cafe in Abuja (still) which is close to the Jabi Lake
Its a new place on the terrace of a mall just across the jabi Lake… so the view of the lake is so cool from there and It has a woody, arty deco to it.
I went there in the evening hoping to catch the sun set over the Lake (it is such a beautiful site that can be seen from Jabi Lake mall) but unfortunately the restaurant doesn’t face the sunset *sadface
For food I ordered a stake with chips and a fruit punch (which came out looking like the sunset I missed so I guess i still got my sunset.
The food tasted good and was surprisingly filling (but i think every food is filling too me soo… don’t quote me *grins).
The stake and chips cost about 6k and the drink cost about 2k… which made the meal about 8k… which, for me is gearing towards being an expensive meal (especially in this buhari economy… 5k is my standard affordable meal)
The server was ok… but didnt leave an impression (no smiles or trying to make us feel comfy… thats customer service 101… i think)
I’ll give my experience there a 7 … its supposed to be a 10 because of the view of the lake and the great food but the fact i didnt see the sunset and i could hear all the noise from Jabi Lake park and the cost of the food dampened the experience.
Still, i’d definitely go back, it is a lovely place to just chill and relax and they played good music.
Have you eaten here before? what was your experience like and what did i miss? let me know in the comment section
Till next week Friday (If I have money to eat-out or go somewhere fun) do have a fantastic weekend
Lots of Love
